ABOUT WENDY COSSMAN

Wendy Cossman’s creative and unique style uses vibrant colors, impressionistic techniques, and a whimsical look at the subject matter. She paints an array of subjects from still lifes to nature to portraits. She has a love for traveling the world, and takes inspiration from the beautiful places she visits. She loves watercolor for the dance of color and paint on the paper and the excitement of unexpected color that adds boldness and imagination to her work.
Wendy has studied watercolor for over 10 years, taking classes at Glen Echo, The Art League of Ocean City, Gallery One, The Smithsonian American Art Museum, and VisArts. She has taught art to groups at women’s retreats, preschoolers, and gives private lessons to a variety of individuals and families. She has exhibited her art at The Lombardy Art Gala in DC, Ratner Museum, Julius Bindeman Center, and a solo show at Paintiques in Rehoboth Beach. Her art is currently on display at The Art League of Ocean City, Washington Hebrew Congregation gift shop, Salon One in Wakefield, and in an Ocean View, Delaware gallery. She is also a top artist with ShopVida, where you can purchase her watercolors as unique designs on clothing and fashion accessories that help factories in third world countries and supports literacy. She belongs to Strathmore Artists, Ocean City Art League, Rehoboth Art League, Shop Vida and Friends of the Yellow Barn at Glen Echo.

Wendy received her BSN from The University of Michigan in 1977. Currently, Wendy runs a private practice in health, wellness, nutrition, and stress management. She resides in Potomac, Maryland where she has lived for over 30 years.
